Our Story
A serene Greek specialty coffeehouse on 31st Street — a small corner of paradise in the heart of Astoria.
The name
A corner of paradise
“Elysian” is the Elysian Fields — the calm, green idyll of Greek myth. We wanted a small one on 31st Street: high ceilings, soft light, an olive branch for the name and a mati charm for luck, and a freddo you can sit with. Genuine hospitality, and a room that lets you breathe.

Made fresh
Greek coffee, done right
Greek coffee in the briki, a freddo shaken cold and strong, matcha and smoothies, juice pressed to order, and fresh sandwiches on multigrain ciabatta. Proudly Greek — the coffee, the pastries, the welcome — without a hint of kitsch.

Come sit under the olive branch
Walk in, find a table in the light, and stay a while.
